Gatehub

When it was first released in 2014, Gatehub was built specifically for the Ripple (XRP) cryptocurrency. Now, this wallet has been made more efficient and can accommodate other cryptocurrency coins such as Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Ripple (XRP), Dash (DASH), Xaurum (XAUR) and Augur (REP).

Aside from storing coins, it also allows users to trade them. Users can also send coins to other Gatehub users by entering their username, a method that is more straightforward than the method to be used in other wallets. Gatehub can be accessed online through a web browser and can be conveniently accessed either through a desktop device, Android or iOS.

Gatehub is user-friendly and its website easy to use, which makes it perfect even for beginners. Also, it supports not only multiple currencies but also real-world money such as fiat currency, USD among others.

How To Sign Up on Gatehub

Creating an account on Gatehub is quick and easy. One can create an account by visiting gatehub.net and select Sign Up. Then, one should enter an email and password, which should be at least 8 characters long. It is recommended that the user should choose a long and unique passphrase to secure one's account.

Upon signing up, one will be prompted to save a recovery key. This step is crucial since the recovery enables one to recover one's account, in case of a loss of password. Gatehub does not know or save a user's password used to encrypt one's Ripple secrets. With this, there is only one way to recover the account.

Verifying the email address

Before the Sign in, one should click the 'Activate Account' button in the email, that Gatehub had previously sent to activate one's account.

After the first sign in, the user will be prompted to create a GateHub Identity profile. After creating a profile, one should press 'Next.'

Step 1: Adding a profile photo

One should choose a profile picture that is going to help people recognize the Gatehub profile.

Step 2: Complete the profile info

One should then fill in one's profile details and make sure to correctly fill in all the required fields.

Step 3: Verify one's identity

The user will be prompted to re-enter one's password, which ensures that one's documents and account data are secure.

Verifying one's identity requires a Proof of Identity and a Proof of Residency (also called as a Proof of Address). One must upload high definition photos or scans. Also, legal name, address and other important information should be visible in these documents. These files can be uploaded in PDF form or image files. They should be in a maximum of 5 MB upon uploading.

Here is a list of accepted documents for one's Proof of Identity (POI): passport, personal ID, driver's license. Other accepted POR documents include a utility bill, bank statement, tax return or Council tax and certificate of residency.
